Literally Me- Literally About Me



Here's my day so far: went to jail, lost the girl of my dreams, and got my butt kicked pretty good. But still things could still be a lot wor-

-No actually that isn't me. I'm obviously not Megamind, I'm very far from being him, but don't you think it would be cool to be him for a day?

My name is Johann, you can call me Mark, but I wouldn't respond if you did call me Mark. I am 18 and taking my 1st year of college. I like to play video games and watch anime, which I probably should spend less time doing. I also like to make memes of things, making fun of things or events I encounter in life. 




Ryan Gosling (Bladerunner 2049)

If you haven't noticed by now, my page is centered around the meme "He's literally me". If you're not familiar with the meme, its basically people relating to a character to the point that they think their life is synonymous to the character's. In this case its Ryan Gosling and his actor roles.



Ryan Gosling (He Drives)

These characters Ryan Gosling plays are somewhat relatable to me, as I have a bit of social anxiety and the character from Drive(2011), had the same issue. I find it hard to strike up conversations with strangers and sometimes feel uneasy when strangers look at me.  



Ken (Barbie Movie)

That aside, I think Ken is also a character with traits I want to strive for. He was down when Barbie did not see him the same way he saw her. Despite that, in the song "I'm Just Ken", there's a part that says "I'm just Ken (and I'm enough, And I'm great at doing stuff". This part of the lyrics, embodies how Ken knows that him being him is enough, and he has stuff he's good at, of which he is confident in. Basically I want to be confident in myself like Ken is in himself.

Literally My Song - I'm Just Ken

Song Review:           The song "I'm just Ken", is an iconic pop/pop-rock song which was sang by Ryan Gosling, and written by Mark Ronson alongside Andrew Wyatt . The song is from the movie "Barbie", in which Ken fights for the love of his life Barbie. The lyrics of the song tell a story of how Ken's love, which is unreciprocated by Barbie, is affecting him. Ken sings this song, questioning whether he is "kenough" for her, and will she ever see him as a lover and not just a friend.                 I first heard of this song from memes that came shortly after the release of the movie .At first I laughed at it, but soon realized the deep meaning of the song, the internal struggles of Ken, whom I now relate to.
